Awareness Bracelet Drink Charms

Sometimes Husband and I have a little drinking problem.

We can't tell whose drink is whose.

We do the "is that your drink or mine?" "Wait I think my drink is over here, isn't it?" "um, compare the glasses, I think I have a little less than you or not, I don't know" thing.

Now I know why wine glass charms are so popular.

Unfortunately, traditional wine glass charms aren't very helpful if you are drinking out of a bottle because there isn't anything you can attach the wine charm on. The same goes with stemless wine glasses which we also use as our everyday drinking glasses to save on cabinet space.

I don't want to play endless round of Is This Drink Mine? during our Fourth of July festivities, especially with our sometimes clumsy kid guests who are not coming anywhere near my good stemmed wine glasses.

Not to mention, I don't want the neighbors to think kid guests are being served something other than soda or lemonade because they are walking around my backyard with a stemmed glass with a drink charm on it for identification purposes.

Turns out I have a solution to my problem in the bottom of my jewelry box. I can make drink charms out of awareness bracelets!

I bought this at the Korean grocery store out of curiosity
and I want to make something out of the can. It tastes like regular iced tea.

It doesn't get any easier than slipping the rubber bracelet over the neck of a bottle or bottom of a can or glass, although I think it is easier if you put the rubber bracelet drink charm on empty glasses and before you fill them with liquid.

We usually make soda with our Sodastream, but we
got curious about this real can sugar soda too.

If you don't have awareness type bracelets floating around your house, try using Silly Band drink charms like the green one shown here.

You might have a bunch of Silly Bands hanging around
since they aren't "cool" anymore (at least around here.)
